Charles Drapeau is an abstract painter based in Montréal. His original paintings grow out of action painting and dripping: paint is flung, poured and built up thickly into sculptural relief, then sealed under a high-gloss varnish. Each canvas is a unique piece, signed and dated on the back, delivered with a certificate of authenticity and mounted on a 1½″ gallery-depth stretcher with painted edges, ready to hang without a frame. The collection ranges from small 12 × 16″ works to large 36 × 48″ canvases, in series with bold colours and strong contrasts. Available works can be bought directly online and ship insured to Canada, the United States and most of Europe; the large 36 × 48″ formats are available on request, with shipping quoted separately.
