Bleu Galaxie
Mixed media and dynamic splatters. A nebula of turquoise, royal blue and gold on deep black.
Bleu Galaxie is a small original abstract painting, conceived as a fragment of the night sky. Charles Drapeau flings turquoise, royal blue and gold across a deep black ground in loose splatters that recall action painting. The high-gloss varnish makes the colours vibrate and catch the light as you move around it. Mounted on a 1½″ gallery-depth stretcher with painted edges, the canvas hangs as is, with no frame needed. At 12 × 16 inches it suits an entryway, a home office or a reading corner, or can join a gallery wall. A unique piece painted in Montréal, signed and dated on the back, delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
