Horizon 1
A shattered skyline of blue, turquoise, gold and black on a light ground. The motion of a dreamed city, cast in lines and splatters.
Horizon 1 evokes a dreamed city: a shattered skyline of blue, turquoise, gold and black on a light ground. The flung lines and splatters give the impression of continuous movement, like a skyline glimpsed in passing. This original abstract painting in a panoramic 18 × 36 inch format is especially suited to hanging above a sofa, a bed or a sideboard. The light ground and high-gloss varnish make it a luminous canvas. 1½″ gallery-depth stretcher, painted edges, ready to hang. A unique work painted by hand in Charles Drapeau’s Montréal studio, signed and dated on the back, with a certificate of authenticity.
